SMK Fridays is all about exploring art in informal and different settings while chilling with a drink and listening to cool beats.
Since 2013 The National Gallery of Denmark, Statens Museum for Kunst, has been presenting SMK Fridays that invites you to discover great art in different ways outside generel opening hours.
Seven fridays a year the museum invites you to different and informal art experiences from 4 pm – 10 pm.
The program differs from event to event but the recipe is always a delicate mixture of great art, groovy beats, inspiring art talks, movies, bar and tasty street food.
Previous SMK Fridays have included themes like philosophy, death and poetry and in the lighter end it has focused on things like crocheting and the very undefinable Danish concept of “hygge”.
SMK Fridays are free and open to everybody.
