Don’t miss the unique one-day electronica event Stella Polaris that brings you a relaxing, chill out Sunday in the beautiful park Frederiksberg Have.
Basically all you have to do is grab your sunglasses, lay back in the grass and enjoy the mellow beats of great DJs and other live acts. Like a bag of goodies it’s hard to decide the best thing about this, but it may just be that the event is free, yep, it won’t cost you a dime to get hours of chilled tones to make Sunday the best day of the week leaving you with no fear of facing Monday.
In Frederiksberg Have the DJ-booth is situated in front of the castle Frederiksberg Slot, sending out downtempo electronic music across the colourful landscape with private picnics.
The crowd is a great mix of electronic music lovers, happy families with playing children, kissing couples, hungover hipsters and everybody else who enjoys relaxing beats on a Sunday afternoon. The line-up includes top acts of the chill out genre as well as other acts to fit under the downtempo umbrella.
This year the English singer Jimmy Somerville of Bronski Beat and The Communards will perform a “one-in-a-million” acoustic downtempo concert, specially created for Stella Polaris. Apart from that you can look forward to sessions from Alex Vargas, Pete Gooding and Lulu Rouge.
Stella Polaris started out in Denmark’s second biggest city, Århus, in 1997 and hit Copenhagen for the first time in 2001 and instantly became a success that has been followed up every year since.
